Kennedy and Yo Mama
Apparently, his mama made him a pimp. Meet Kennedy. His video "Who's Loving Your Mama" is greatly entertaining. The song itself is a groovy blend of standard 70's disco/funk elements fused with tried-and-true melodies. It's quite infectious, which begs the question whether or not later work will reflect the same sort of intuitive pop formula he/they've got going now. Rumor has it he's engaged in talks with a minor affiliate label that's part of a larger media conglomerate. It will be interesting to see if he can reach pop culture status before the whole Beck/Napoleon Dynamite revival becomes *SO* 2005. "Nobody loves you Poetry.
