In case you'd not heard, the U.S. House of Rep's has sent a Constitutional amendment to the Senate giving Congress the power to prohibit desecration of the American Flag (presumably, any other nation's flag is fair game). I'm sure this will keep America strong'n'stuff, and I'm glad Congress is taking the initiative to keep uncomfortable ideas and behaviors under legal lock-and-key. I too have been disgusted by decades of flamboyant flag burning occuring near daily in our streets. I mean, who *hasn't* been accosted by liberal flag burners at Safeway, Costco and Shell? And to all those naysayers trying to hide behind the First Amendment, I say this: You can still say anything you like as long as it's not bad against America, because Americans love their country and people that love thier country don't say bad things about the country they love. /snark.
